Bling Kong Show Update

Wednesday, October 18th at Pat's in the Flats.
Doors at 9...be there!

And for all you mid-staters:

Satrurday, October 21st at the Wexner Center (Columbus)

"Poised to become today's party band, the B-52s or Sly and the Family Stone of this decade" - Stereotype, December 2004

"Joyfully goofy party music is part Peaches, part Go-Gos, and part B-52s, seasoned with a hint of Judas Priest." - Boston Globe, August 2005

Ok, so maybe I wouldn't have used those words exactly, but honestly, I don't know how to describe them!

Bling Kong is a ludicrous grouping of 4 cheerleaders, 3 drummers, 2 guitarists, a bassist, and a video DJ. My friend Jonathan is one of the drummers, and as they all do, he sings! They're fun and they've never been to Cleveland before, so I want to bring out as many rockin party fun times happy people I can find! Apparently, the Beachland wants them next time, so grab this chance to see them at cozy Pat's!

I'm going to try to interview Jonathan on Popsicle Industries this Monday morning, so tune into 89.3 (wcsb.org) between 9 and 11am for some more details on the band and to hear a couple hits off their debut EP!

I'm off to Ithaca for the weekend. I'll be back in time for the show Monday morning!

heart,
Douglass
